New Delhi:
A 16-year-old boy was detained on Sunday for allegedly killing his father in a match of rage, police stated.
Police stated the boy allegedly smashed a plastic pipe on his father’s head when the person was beating his spouse in Delhi’s Rohini, leading to his demise.
“On Sunday, a name was obtained at 10.58 am concerning the homicide of an individual on the Aman Vigar police station,” a senior police officer stated.
The person’s physique has been preserved within the hospital for postmortem, police stated.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that the killed man used to beat his spouse and youngsters on trivial points drunk, stated the officer.
“On Sunday, the killed man picked up a quarrel along with his spouse and was thrashing her, when his son intervened and hit his father’s head with a plastic pipe which resulted in his demise,” stated the officer.
Police stated that an FIR underneath related sections of the BNS has been registered on the Aman Vihar police station.
