The Roseate Spoonbill is unmistakable and considered one of North America’s most uncommon wanting wading birds. Its plumage is really flamboyant, combining a pink physique with carmine pink on the wings and tail-coverts with a wealthy tawny, nearly orange, tail. The invoice is formed like a spatula, giving this species its title. The Roseate Spoonbill is considered one of 6 species of spoonbills worldwide, the one one discovered within the New World, and the one spoonbill that has brilliantly coloured plumage; the others are mainly white. Additionally it is the one spoonbill whose head turns into utterly unfeathered and colourful because the fowl matures. (from Birds of the World)
