A case was filed in opposition to a senior govt of a Jindal Group firm for allegedly molesting a feminine co-passenger on a Kolkata-Abu Dhabi flight, an officer of the Bidhanngar Metropolis Police stated on Sunday.
The FIR was registered on the idea of a criticism lodged by the girl’s mother and father on the Airport police station on the northern outskirts of Kolkata on Saturday, he stated.
The feminine passenger, in a sequence of posts on X, had alleged that the chief confirmed her some obscene movies by calling them film clips, triggering an outrage.
A case was filed beneath BNS sections 74 (assault or use of felony pressure with intent to outrage modesty) and 75 (uttering phrases or making gestures or exhibiting any object in any kind insulting the modesty of a girl), the officer stated.
“We have now began an investigation into the matter,” he added.
On Friday, Jindal Metal and Energy Chairman Naveen Jindal promised to research allegations of molestation in opposition to the chief, saying his group has a zero-tolerance coverage in such issues.
